SGG PARSOL®
Description
SGG PARSOL, like SGG PLANICLEAR, is intended for universal applications where an attractive appearance or basic solar control properties are required:
- Interior applications for decoration, fittings and furniture.
- External applications in single or double-glazing, for facades and overhead glazing
SGG PARSOL provides additional solar control to reduce the burden on air-conditioning through the warmer months and also provides different aesthetics in terms of colour.
RANGE
There are 3 colours in the SGG PARSOL range:
- SGG PARSOL GREEN
- SGG PARSOL BRONZE
- SGG PARSOL GREY
SGG PARSOL products are available in a range of thicknesses, from 3mm to 12mm, depending on the colour.
PERFORMANCE
The performance of the most commonly used SGG PARSOL references are given for:
- Single glazing
- In double-glazed units combined with SGG PLANICLEAR
- In enhanced thermal insulation double-glazed units with SGG PLANITHERM TOTAL+ low-emissivity glass. The mechanical and acoustic performances are the same as a standard SGG PLANILUX glass of the same thickness.
SGG PARSOL single-glazing performance
SGG PARSOL double-glazing performance with SGG PLANICLEAR
SGG PARSOL double-glazing performance with SGG PLANITHERM ULTRA N or SGG PLANITHERM ONE
Processed Product Variation
SGG PARSOL can undergo the same processes as SGG PLANILUX and is the base glass for many other processed products: coated glass, laminated glass, toughened, screen-printed, decorated, acid-etched, sandblasted, lacquered, edgeworked and silvered glass, as well as double-glazed units etc.
GUIDELINES
The installation possibilities and recommendations for SGG PARSOL are the same as standard clear glass. Depending on the application or location, SGG PARSOL may require heat treatment to avoid the risk of thermal breakage. See "Technical Support" section.
STANDARDS AND REGULATION
SGG PARSOL body-tinted glass conforms to standard BS EN 572-2 and carries the relevant CE mark as required.
